I'm in the same boat, as I purchased this program and now you can't find them, I'm out 1,300.00, it would be nice to get my money back but this is probably not going to happen. things like this make it bad for legit companies that can really help you get further in life.

Used smooth tactics to get people to invest $999.00 at workshops held across the country. Their services never rendered any results and after you paid the 1k they wanted more money. How crooked the CEO is and greedy. I hope the show American Greed gets a hold of these guys pulling off one of the nations greatest conference scams in history. They suckered so many innocent people into their little scam then closed their doors a few years later. I have not heard anything of what happened to these people but all of a sudden their no longer in business. American Greed please do a story on these guys.

I attended one of their conferences way back in 2005, and got involved in real estate investing. They really pushed you to use your equity, and buy properties.

For awhile, it seemed like a good organization, but when the market started to tank in 2007, they were not available to give advice as they had been before. I was fortunate, and didn't lose my home, but I could have had my home paid off, and have a lot of money saved had I not been goaded into buying an investment property. * did get a pretty good software package from them, that I would like to update, but they aren't around to support that either. Of course, after a little digging, it appears that this was a concerted effort to separate certain people from their equity, and make them vulnerable to foreclosure.

I never tried the grant-side of their organization, but I never met, or spoke to anyone at their Vegas retreat, that had any success. I would advise not getting involved with them.

Maybe people expect way too much. I bought this class for $810.00 and the tapes for another $100 and I still use them to this day. I learned to get $10,000 improvements in my home, 18 months of free mortgage payments $911 mo, and several appliances for my home. ie stove, heater/AC, windows, tiolets and refrigerators with a $60 rebate for my old ones. I got the same things for my neighbor and he complaind it was not enough and kept wanting me to get him more. I can't get extra homes or buildings with San Diego restrictions on HUD but I can get them in other states and counties if i am willing to work that hard. I found $100,000 upside down principal payments, $5000 grants for foreclosing expenses, first time mortgage discounts for my best friend and $54,000 to catch up on late mortgages. Though I did not need to qualify for these I more than quadrupled my investment on the other benifits. The jems are out there you need to dig them out yourself. not wait for someone else to do it for you.

National Grants is not a fraud I pay around 900.00 for the program information and I gained over 35,000.00 in grant money to remodel my house. They were also nice enough to air me in one of there infomercials and I won a cruise feombthem that was fully paid for.

People do your research they provide the information.

I witnessed all my friends that saw me on TV purchase the program and do nothing with it. You have to put in the work!

National Grants Conferences Seminar Review

I purchased their program on real estate and got burned out of $1000.00. That was back in 2005. Most of these companies always get away with it, that's why I didn't pursue it. There is really no law and order or true justice anymore.

Went to their event, signed up and did not get anything. Who were the guys running this? What are their names? We need to post their names all over the Internet until they pay back all of the money they stole. Can someone please send me their names, our company does Social Media Marketing and can reach out and post this so millions will receive it. We will do this with the support of others and will help put together a lawsuit too. We must go after the owners, not the company. They did this knowing exactly what they were doing. Thank you! interneto2323@***.com PS. Please email me to participate in this activity and lawsuit.

Trump University , National Grants Conferences and Proven Methods Seminar are all the same Company. I used to work for them down in Boca Raton Florida. Matthew Orlando and his Partner Mike along with Donald Trump ran this scam.

Guest

I was married to one of their speakers and they are as bogus as they get! Trust me, I've spent all that money and I have to say, it was a lot!!!!

If there is anything I can do to help with you pire.... I will. I can tell you that one of the speakers was, Terry Wilson, now in Bozeman, MT and still having a thriving business, now off speaking as well as hiring other speakers to spin the "Snake oil" of sorts.

Previous to National Grants, he spoke for a company called 2 extreme, where the founder, John Polk was put in prison for his unscrupulous business practices.... I am so glad I'm divorced from all that..!

Demand A Refund From NGC!

My husband and I went to this same conference last Fall (2007). Afterwards, we did what we should have done before getting involved...we researched it online. (The Florida Better Business Bureau has had as many as 87 complaints on file for National Grants Conferences. The company is rated an F, the worst a company can get, by the BBB.) We found there was a lawsuit in Vermont for which NGC was found guilte of fraud. Here are a couple sites to go to: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news04/2007/01/vt_grants_scam.html http://www.wvec.com/news/topstories/stories/wvec_local_050508_free_money_conferences.968d0263.html We'd emailed the HQ of the hotel our local 'conference' was held and were told they'd look into the matter. We got the impression they were interested in protecting the public from this scam operation. Well, apparently not...they recently held another conference at the same hotel we gone to. Everyone should complain to the location where this initial seminar (lure) took place, as well as where the 'conference' was. Maybe, just maybe, someone will actually take notice! If you find out about one taking place, take copies of the reports I've listed here and hand them out! Notify the local media! Shut these scammers down!! The head company's are actually Proven Methods Seminars, LLC, of Boca Raton, Florida, and Proven Methods Customer Service, LLC, of Rochester, New York, doing business together as National Grants Conferences. Our conference leader even gave subtle hints that would lead one to believe he was a Christian - which of course impressed us...how could a true Christian knowingly scam others? Well, he did...and I pray God will thump him upside the head and wake him up! These folks are nothing more than 'professional speakers', whatever THAT is! We demanded, and got, a refund. We'd lost an entire weekend to this fraud and even gave up our Sunday church time...big mistake. But God blessed us with the ability to look further into it, and get our money back. They didn't even want their expensive (to us) material back...gee, does that tell you how 'valuable' their books, etc., are? I can't help but wish I'd gotten names and phone numbers of other attenders...especially those who were conned into getting the max increased on their credit card so they could 'afford' the additional 'offers' they enticed you with on the second day. I feel so badly for those who said they were facing foreclosures, bankrupcies, etc., that got taken in. This company needs to be shut down completely!! If enough people get on the bandwagon demanding a refund, filing lawsuits, etc., maybe this can be accomplished!

I was also scammed and would like who to contact for my refund thank you.

Dear friends, I too was duped into giving them over $1,000 and they did not help me at all. I went to try to learn more to get a grant for Fathers Against Drunk Driving, I went with an open and honest heart to continue to make a positive impact, build relationships with others and continue to raise awareness on the dangers of drinkin and driving.

Can you give me more info on obtaining a refund? Our FADD email is faddintl@***.com, our phone number is (559)756-****.

Thank you and God bless you for this new information. Hope to hear from a decision maker soon.

I was also scammed would like more info on who to contact to demand refund

Guest

Those NGC books are just a copy of what you can find for FREE online and are outdated in many instances. We too got into this scam by believing they would truly assist you with GRANTS!!

NOT TRUE!! No one from NGC will return phone calls or emails, will NOT review your plans and presentations for correctness. Am looking for a full refund and putting together a class action suit from Indiana.

I pray we are able to stop this from continuing hurting so many more innocent people. All my searching prior to spending any money did NOT reveal them as the blood sucking scammers they are.

Guest

I’m NOT an employee, I went to the conference and was very skeptical, but I didn’t have a lot of options left and decided to take a leap of faith. I was seeking some help to update my house.

As a single mom, it can be very difficult to keep up with repairs. After about four months of weekly sessions with my grants counselor, I received a weatherization grant. They didn’t tell me a dollar amount, but all my windows and doors were replaced, my sinks and shower heads were updated, and all new smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors were installed in my house.

They are also installing a digital thermostat which I am very excited about. It didn’t happen overnight, but between the support and education from the grants team and my diligence, I was able to make my home a safer and less expensive place to live.

Guest

I have been scammed too! How did ou go about getting a refund?

just attended a conference/ seminar 07 -26-**-**

here in so. fla. all these young kids and young

entrapeuneurs were there to get help with their businesses

and their ideas.

and the old guy(who we locals call: hairpiece)

just beat everyone down with how to buy realestate

like he did even in feorign countries. that was how to get financial freedom.. i almost forgot HE TOLD EVERYONE THAT THE BOOKS THEY BOUGHT WE DONT EVEN USE ANYMORE . SO DON'T EVEN GET THEM OUT.

BESIDES FOLLOWING HIS REAL ESTATE STRATAGIES

ON FORECLOSURES by buying appartment buildings. is where the moneyis especially if you buy his software.

Although at this point i could not afford another two thousand on software. I'd like to get my hands on the businessplan software just so i could be 1000% sure thanx aaalex

ps if anyone knows any one that would like to unloadxjjjixcccc

Guest

In response to whether the books have any useful information...maybe...probably...but most of it seemed to pertain to the real estate deals which we were not interested in. Our interest in the grants was with regard to specialty business grants regarding alternative energy, so we haven't really given it much thought.

I haven't started using the paper to start BBQ fires with yet, so maybe I'll drag them out and see if there's anything I can glean! For the most part, NGC wants you to use their 'resources'.

We were so PO'd at being scammed, I haven't cared much about the books. If I feel something out of any of the books is useful, I'll be sure to post it here!

Guest

Thanks for posting that info. I almost got sucked into their little scam.

I was just wondering from you if the books that you still have had any useful information in them and were they helpful to you? Thank you , Deanna

NGC--National Grants Conferences

I went to a NGC seminar in New Orleans and am scheduled to attend the 2-day classes today and tomorrow. I asked an Aunt of mine to research NGC and I am so shocked. I have a disabled husband and 3 children. I used my income tax money to buy into NGC. I sure could have used that money for bills!!!! Guess I'll try to get my money back but I believe its too late, just pass 3 days by 3 days! Just my luck!!! I also tried to get into their website with my membership numbers on my receipt with no luck at all, couldn't get in. Michelle

NGC gives hard working, honest PROFESSIONAL grant writers and consultants a bad name and a bad reputation, get out of the business and go away NGQ, and stop selling what can be found for free on the internet.. or obtained through city resources...

and forgetting to tell many of your clients that the majority of grants are mainly geared toward 501c3 (non profit) organizations...

unless you work in a very narrow niche of for profit industries, I wish you all the best.. I sincerely hope that fewer and fewer get hurt from the irresponsible actions of an organization without standards or morals or care for its clients.

Here is a report from the BBB:

"We strongly question the company’s reliability for reasons such as that they have failed to respond to complaints, their advertising is grossly misleading, they are not in compliance with the law’s licensing or registration requirements, their complaints contain especially serious allegations, or the company’s industry is known for its fraudulent business practices."

National Grant Conferences: Big Scam!!!

Today I attended a conference by these clowns at south Texas, I was about to go tomorrow and pay them $999.00 to be a member but thank God I used the Internet to look up the reputation of these people!!! Please don't do the mistake alot of people did at today's conference. They are very good actors, they actually make you believe what they are saying and it sounds really nice, but it's all B.S.!!!! I've heard that you can easily find someone locally to help you fill these goverment grant applications out, so I guess I am going to start looking for those places, and I think some charge as low as $20.

I paid $1,000 to attend their first seminar. Then they try to upsale you mentoring programs and packages that are at least expensive $9000 up to $30000.

Then I call them and they ask about my credit score and income and I don't hear from them again.

What are they, a bank? It's supposed to be grants but if you don't come with more and more and more money, they won't lift a pinky finger to help you!

Guest

Amazing, these guys go back to 2001 and they are still around. It seems to me that instead of joining up for $1000 you would be better off going to your local coin shop and buying a one ounce gold coin.

Guest

National Grants Conferences exceeded my expectations. Like most people, I thought only the big guys got grants.

I had applied a couple of times before and never received responses from the agencies. After a lot of research and team work, NGC located a renewable grant that I qualified for. It has enabled us, and will continue to allow us in the future to make improvements to our non-profit day care center that we could have never afforded any other way. Last week we received they second check and next week, the nursery will have brand new flooring installed.

I am sure there are a lot of people out there that think a big sack of money is going to fall out of the sky.

The truth is, hard work, patience, and an open, teachable mind is needed to succeed here and National Grants is the support center to help you along the way. Just ask the kids when they see their new playground at the day care center!!

Guest

I went to the conference with my mother and learned a lot. The workbooks and CD’s were powerful and opened my eyes to the possibilities of what a little determination and hard work coupled with the education and support of National Grants Conferences could do.

I was able to receive a $25,000 first time home buyer loan. It’s only a 700 sq. ft.

condo, but after 40 years of living in America, I can finally say that I finally have a place of my own. NGC may not be for everyone, but it was certainly for me!

Guest

gwen is right. it's b.s. they dont help you.
